Quite warm with Isolated Rain Showers in Havana
By Adrian Fuentes
HAVANA TIMES – The Cuban archipelago remains under the weak influence of migratory high-pressure systems centered over the waters of the western Atlantic. In the middle and upper levels of the troposphere, a trough extends over the eastern end of the country, which, combined with high moisture content in the lower layers, local-scale factors, and the afternoon instability generated by the day’s intense heating, favored the occurrence of some showers, rain, and thunderstorms in inland and southern areas of the capital.
Over the coming days, mornings will begin partly cloudy, becoming cloudier in inland areas and along the northern coast, with some showers, rain, and thunderstorms that may continue into the evening hours.
Winds will be from the east to northeast at speeds between 15 and 30 kilometers per hour. Relative humidity will range from minimum values of 80% to maximum values of 95%. High temperatures will be between 30 and 32ºC (86 and 90ºF), while lows will range from 22 to 23ºC (72 and 73ºF). Sea surface temperature will be 28ºC (82ºF).
