Isolated Rainfall in the Capital

By Adrian Fuentes

HAVANA TIMES – High pressure systems continue to influence the national territory, with their center extending over the western Atlantic. Meanwhile, a trough at mid and upper levels extends over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico is generating a southeasterly flow over Havana. This situation, combined with daytime heating and local-scale factors, has produced some rainfall in the capital, with only minor accumulations.

Over the coming days, cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers—mainly in the afternoons—will continue. Winds will blow from the northeast to east at speeds between 10 and 25 kilometers per hour. Relative humidity will range from 65% to 95%. Highs will range between 28 and 30ºC (82 to 86 F), and lows between 21 and 22ºC (70 to 72 F). Sea surface temperature will be 26ºC (79 F).

Editor’s Note: our weather forecast is a day late this week due to the total power outage in Havana.
