Cool early mornings in the Capital…

By Adrian Fuentes

HAVANA TIMES — Over Cuba and the surrounding seas, the influence of continental high-pressure systems continues, with their center located over the western Atlantic, northeast of the Bahamas. This center extends its ridge southwestward into the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, leaving Cuba along its periphery. This system is accompanied by a dry and stable air mass that continues to limit rainfall in Havana.

Over the coming days, mornings will begin with little cloud cover. By late morning it will become partly cloudy, turning cloudy in the afternoon with some showers, rain, and thunderstorms, mainly toward inland areas. Winds will be predominantly from the northeast at speeds between 10 and 25 kilometers per hour. Relative humidity will range from 35% to 70%. Highs will be between 28 and 29ºC (82 to 84ºF), and lows between 17 and 22ºC (63 to 72ºF). Sea surface temperature will be 26ºC (79ºF).
