DUBROVNIK, 3 June 2026 – Dubrovnik has approved extended opening hours for restaurants and bars during Croatia’s matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, allowing supporters to gather and watch the national team’s fixtures despite late kick-off times in North America.

Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Franković has issued a decision extending the operating hours of hospitality venues across the city during matches involving the Croatian national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The measure applies to hospitality businesses in the “Restaurants” and “Bars” categories operating within the City of Dubrovnik.

Under the decision, venues will be permitted to remain open beyond their usual closing times on the following dates:

• Wednesday, 17 June 2026, until 2:00am, for the England v Croatia match in Dallas.

• Wednesday, 24 June 2026, until 3:00am, for the Panama v Croatia match in Toronto.

• Saturday, 27 June 2026, until 2:00am, for the Croatia v Ghana match in Philadelphia.

The extended hours are intended to enable residents and visitors to watch Croatia’s World Cup matches in hospitality venues across the city, despite the late-night start times resulting from the tournament being staged in North America.

The City of Dubrovnik has also reminded hospitality operators of their responsibilities during the extended opening periods.

Venue owners and managers are required to ensure public order and safety within their establishments and to take measures to prevent disturbances. Should any incidents occur, they must immediately notify the Dubrovnik Police Station.

Businesses must also comply with Croatia’s noise regulations and ensure noise levels do not exceed the maximum limits prescribed under the relevant regulations and the Noise Protection Act.
