The new fast ferry service set to launch in the northern Adriatic this summer, creating a new sea connection between several of Kvarner’s most popular destinations, now has a new connection.
The route which links Kraljevica, Crikvenica, Senj, Baška on the island of Krk, Lopar and the town of Rab on Rab island, now included Lun on the island of Pag, Jadrolinija confirmed today.
The new service will begin operating on 24 June and run until 30 August.
Initially, four morning departures per week will leave Kraljevica, with afternoon return journeys from the town of Rab. From 10 July, the line will operate daily.
The new maritime connection is expected to improve travel between key destinations in the region, offering visitors and residents an alternative to busy summer roads.
The route connects the Crikvenica Riviera and the historic town of Senj with some of the northern Adriatic’s best-known island destinations, including Baška, Lopar, Rab and Pag.
Passengers will be able to use the service for day trips, weekend breaks and multi-destination travel across Kvarner, while enjoying a scenic journey along the coast beneath the Velebit mountain range and through the Senj Gate channel, Jadrolinija says.
One-way fares from Kraljevica to Baška, Lopar or the town of Rab will cost €25. Tickets for journeys between Senj and Rab, or Baška and Rab, will be priced at €15. Travel between Kraljevica and Crikvenica, as well as between Baška and Lopar, will cost €10.
Tickets will be available onboard the vessel and online through Jadrolinija’s website and mobile application.
The route will be operated by the catamaran Silba, a vessel with capacity for 310 passengers, designed to provide fast and comfortable travel across the Kvarner region.
