Croatia’s Miss Universe 2025, Laura Gnjatović, has departed for Thailand, where she will represent her country at the 74th Miss Universe competition on 21 November.
The 23-year-old from Zadar, who stands 191 centimetres tall, was crowned Miss Universe Croatia 2025 back in April.
Laura currently lives in Dubrovnik, where she works as an emergency medical nurse and is completing her third year of undergraduate nursing studies at the University of Dubrovnik.
Speaking to Dnevnik Nova TV at Zagreb Airport before her departure, Laura shared what it’s like working in emergency care.
“When you see someone come back to life, it’s such an overwhelming feeling, I nearly fainted. I kept thinking about it for days afterwards,” she said.

She added that working in the emergency services means always being prepared for anything, and she credits her colleagues for their constant support.
“Without their help and teamwork, none of this would have been possible. They were there for shift changes and everything!”

This year, Croatia has a contestant making waves. Laura has consistently ranked among the top ten favourites to win Miss Universe, even reaching fifth place in some predictions.
At the global pageant in Thailand, Laura will wear a national costume designed by Juraj Zigman, inspired by the Adriatic periska shell, symbolising strength and natural beauty.
Whether the Miss Universe crown will come to Croatia remains to be seen, but one thing is certain, Laura will proudly represent her country on 21 November in Thailand.
