NBA legend Magic Johnson has returned to Croatia, continuing a tradition of summer visits to the country’s Adriatic coast.
The 66-year-old former basketball star arrived in Dubrovnik this weekend after travelling through Italy, Greece and Montenegro, once again making Croatia part of his Mediterranean holiday itinerary.
Johnson shared photos from his latest visit on social media, including images from dinner at Nautika Restaurant in Dubrovnik.
“We had an amazing dinner last night at Nautika Restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia,” Johnson wrote alongside a series of photos.
The NBA icon also stopped to pose for photographs with fans during his evening in the city.
Johnson has developed a strong connection with Croatia in recent years. His first extended visit came in 2020, when he spent more than a month holidaying in the country. He has since returned for further visits in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
During previous trips, Johnson has spoken positively about Croatia’s restaurants, seafood and hospitality.
“The restaurants in Croatia are wonderful and all the meals have been outstanding,” he said on an earlier visit. “The fish and seafood are so fresh, straight from the ocean to your plate, and the Croatian people are great. Cookie, our guests and I are having a ball.”
He has also shared images from other parts of the Croatian coast, including a photograph of his yacht moored near Korčula, while recommending Croatia to his large international following.
For Johnson, Croatia has become more than a one-off holiday destination, with repeated summer visits highlighting his continued appreciation of the country’s coastline, cuisine and people.
