Igor Tudor Named Head Coach of Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have officially appointed Igor Tudor as the men’s head coach until the end of the season, pending a work permit.

The Croatian tactician arrives in North London with a clear directive: to steady the squad, sharpen performances, and push Spurs up the Premier League table as the campaign enters its decisive phase.

“It’s an honor to join this club at such an important moment,” Tudor said in his first statement. “I understand the responsibility I’ve been given. My goal is simple — to bring consistency, organization, and conviction to every performance. There’s real quality in this squad, and my job is to harness it and turn that into results.”

Sporting Director Johan Lange praised the appointment, citing Tudor’s ability to generate immediate impact. “Igor brings clarity, intensity, and the experience needed to navigate challenging moments. Our aim is to stabilize performances and maximize the quality within the squad as we compete in both the Premier League and Champions League,” Lange said.

A former Juventus defender and Croatian international, Tudor carries a reputation for transforming sides mid-season. His managerial résumé spans Galatasaray, Udinese, Hajduk Split, and Hellas Verona, while his most notable success came with Marseille, leading them to a third-place finish in Ligue 1 and Champions League qualification in 2022/23.

More recently, Tudor impressed with Lazio, guiding them to the Europa League in 2024, before returning to Juventus the following year to secure Champions League football.
