ZAGREB, 23 July (Hina) – Passengers travelling on Croatia Airlines flights between 1 August and 30 November will receive complimentary packs of traditional Dalmatian delicacies as part of the Dalmatian Marenda project, organisers announced on Wednesday.
The packs will include Dalmatian prosciutto, black olive spread, olive oil and rosemary crackers, dried broad beans and sugared almonds, offering travellers a taste of the region before they arrive.
The initiative, launched four years ago, is a joint project of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, the Split Tourist Board and Croatia Airlines, with support from the Croatian National Tourist Board, to promote Dalmatian gastronomy as a key part of the region’s tourism offer.

Split-Dalmatia Tourist Board director Ivana Vladović said the project forms part of wider efforts to position Central Dalmatia as a gastronomic destination, ahead of its designation as the European Region of Gastronomy 2027.
Croatia Airlines head of sales Marija Pavić said Split remains a key destination in the airline’s network, which has continued to expand this year with new routes, including Split–Nantes.

“During this summer season, we are operating flights from Split to 21 destinations, serving 22 airports. Strong air connectivity and destination promotion go hand in hand, and Dalmatian Marenda is an excellent example of that,” Pavić said.
