December the 4th, 2025 – A 50% discount awaits train passengers returning from Advent Zagreb on certain days.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, in close cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board, HŽ Passenger Transport will provides special benefits to visitors to Advent Zagreb. Until January the 7th, 2026, more specifically when Advent Zagreb draws to a close, there will be a 50% discount for people making return trips on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
This generous discount can be used from all stations and stops on HŽ lines to Zagreb’s main station (Glavni kolodvor) in 1st and 2nd class of trains.
From Monday to Thursday from 16:00 to 12:00, free transportation will be made available on the route: Dugo Selo – Zagreb GK – Savski Marof. Additionally, until January the 7th, 2026, visitors to the Ice Park ice rink will also Zagreb receive a 50 percent discount on return trips to Zagreb’s main train station in the 1st and 2nd class of regular trains. Tickets can be purchased at the HŽ Passenger Transport box offices. The discount on return trips is available upon presentation of a skating ticket with a date within the ticket’s validity period.
As if all that wasn’t enough, visitors to the skating rink will also be able to purchase tickets for the skating rink at reduced prices: from 10:00 to 15:30, the discounted single ticket price will stand at 2.50 euros, while from 16:00 to 23:00, the discounted single ticket price will be 3.50 euros. When purchasing a ticket for the skating rink, visitors must show a train ticket or a smart card issued by HŽ Passenger Transport.
This year, visitors can also use the newly introduced night trains on their return journeys, which depart from Zagreb’s main station on Saturdays and Sundays at around 00:30 and 02:30 towards Sisak, Karlovac, Zabok, Krapina, Ivanić-Grad and Križevci.
