Newly appointed Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon held a press conference on monday saying his first order of business is to ask for the courtesy resignations of officials in his agency, as part of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s order to get rid of corrupt officials. Vowing accountability for anomalous flood-control projects, Dizon said the order for courtesy resignations would include undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, division heads, and district engineers nationwide ading that said he would also impose a “lifetime blacklisting” on contractors responsible for “ghost” and substandard infrastructure projects.
