According to witnesses and security officials, unidentified armed men arrived on motorcycles and opened fire directly on patrons gathered at the establishment. Two victims—a woman and a man—were killed instantly at the scene, while another man later succumbed to severe injuries. Two additional individuals remain hospitalized.

The attack coincides with a sharp spike in regional unrest tied to an enforced weeklong lockdown initiated by armed separatist fighters on September 7:
