First Lady Pich Chanmony has called on Cambodians to build on the experiences and commitments of 2025 to strengthen national capabilities, highlighting the contributions of farmers, artisans, young entrepreneurs and women business owners as key drivers of the country’s development.
She made the remarks while presiding over the opening of the “Khmer Products Exhibition 2026”—held under the theme “Khmer Can Do It: Participate, Promote, and Support Local Products”—at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center on November 6.
Chanmony said, “This strength is not merely a reflection of the past year, 2025. Rather, we must build on the experiences gained and commitments made to further strengthen our own capabilities. When Khmer farmers produce increasing volumes of high-quality goods, that is the strength of our nation.
When Khmer artisans turn their specialised skills into valuable products, that, too, is the strength of our nation. When a young person dares to establish a new business or centre, that represents strength for the nation. When a Cambodian woman starts her own business, generating income for her family while creating jobs for others, that, too, is the strength of our nation.”
