Customs officers have seized nearly 6kg of heroin from a foreign traveller preparing to leave Cambodia.
The operation took place on October 11 at the departure terminal of Siem Reap Angkor International Airport.
Customs and Excise officers, working with immigration police, inspected the traveller and discovered more than 5,000 grams of heroin concealed in a suitcase.
After completing the initial procedures and preparing a report on the customs violation, the task force handed over the suspect, the seized drugs and related evidence to the Anti-Narcotics Police Unit for further legal action.
