Tourism Minister Huot Hak is leading a delegation to Dunhuang City in Gansu province to showcase Cambodia’s tourism potential at a major international event running from November 1–4.
The annual gathering has drawn tourism ministers and senior officials from more than 55 countries across all continents.
Hak and his delegation were welcomed on arrival by Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Gansu Province Director General Xu Yanli, who also serves as Communist Party of China Gansu Provincial Committee Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission Director General.
They were joined by Consulate General of Cambodia in Xi’an Consul General Ung Samraingsey and Gansu Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia President Huo ZhaoGuo.
Hak said participating in the global forum provides a platform to present Cambodia’s political stability, social progress and safety while promoting its tourism appeal to Chinese visitors and international delegates.
He added that the delegation’s presence would help deepen tourism ties between Phnom Penh and Beijing, building on momentum from the bilateral “2025 Cambodia-China Tourism Year” campaign alongside rising Chinese tourist arrivals and investment.
