Officials, conservationists and youth groups partnered to stage “Amazing Nature of Cambodia” over the weekend, an exhibition celebrating the nation’s biodiversity and encouraging public conservation action.
Held on Saturday and Sunday at AEON Mall Sen Sok City in Phnom Penh, the event showcased forests, rivers, wetlands and coastal ecosystems. Organisers said these natural systems play a critical role in providing water, food and livelihoods, while fostering cultural identity and supporting eco-tourism.
Ministry of Environment Undersecretary of State and spokesman Khvay Atitya said the initiative brought environmental education directly to urban communities and young people with limited access to protected areas.
He said the ministry’s circular strategy relies on strategic communication to shift public behaviour and engage stakeholders in building a sustainable future.
Atitya said the exhibition aligns with national policy by providing a platform for knowledge sharing and fostering environmental stewardship among the public.
