Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training says about 90,000 jobs are currently available across the country, with employers seeking workers in agriculture, industry and services.

The ministry announced the vacancies through social media platforms, including Facebook, saying many positions remained unfilled because no applicants had come forward.

Local news outlets, including Deum Ampil, reported that the available jobs were spread across several provinces.

More than 21,000 vacancies were reported in Kampong Speu province, while Kandal province had more than 20,600.

Nearly 9,000 jobs were available across Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Cham and Kampong Thom provinces.

Takeo province had almost 7,000 vacancies, while more than 4,000 positions were available in northeastern Cambodia.

The coastal provinces of Kampot, Preah Sihanouk, Kep and Koh Kong had more than 2,500 openings.

The ministry said the vacancies were in the private sector, particularly in agriculture, manufacturing and services.

It said the figures did not include positions in government departments or Cambodia’s civil service.
