The APSARA National Authority (ANA) reopened the northern pond at Angkor Wat to national and international visitors following the completion of restoration work, allowing visitors to enjoy and photograph the iconic reflection of the temple in the water.
On Thursday, Hang Peou, ANA Director General, led a delegation of the department’s senior officials and technical officers to inspect the completed restoration work.
During the visit, they examined the technical aspects of the restoration and held discussions with the technical team responsible for the work.
Following the inspection, the authority decided to officially reopen the site to visitors, as of Wednesday.
The reopening allows both domestic and international visitors to access the pond and capture photographs of the reflected scenic view of Angkor Wat.
