Brunei Darussalam recently unveiled the official branding for Visit Brunei Year 2027 (VBY2027), introducing its logo, mascots ‘Awang’ and ‘Dayang’, and campaign identity during a pre-launch ceremony held at Jerudong Park Garden.
The event was graced by His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah.
The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin in his capacity as Co-Chair of the Visit Brunei Year 2027 Steering Committee.

In his address, he highlighted the significance of the initiative as a whole-of-nation effort to strengthen the tourism sector, support economic diversification and showcase Brunei Darussalam’s unique identity to the world.
He also underscored the importance of collaboration among government agencies, industry players, local communities and strategic partners in ensuring the campaign’s success, while encouraging stakeholders to play an active role in creating memorable visitor experiences and promoting the nation to regional and international audiences.

A key highlight of the evening was the officiating ceremony by His Royal Highness, during which the official Visit Brunei Year 2027 logo and mascots, “Awang” and “Dayang”, were unveiled. The launch marks the commencement of promotional activities leading up to the national tourism campaign across domestic and international platforms.
Guests were also treated to a special showcase featuring the official Visit Brunei Year 2027 theme song and destination video, celebrating the nation’s rich culture, pristine natural environment and diverse tourism experiences.

The programme culminated in a drone performance depicting the campaign logo, mascots and several iconic attractions and landmarks across Brunei Darussalam.
His Royal Highness and Yang Amat Mulia later toured the Visit Brunei Year 2027 Calendar of Events Showcase, which highlighted the Diamond Jubilee Celebration as one of the year’s signature events alongside previews of tourism, cultural, sporting, lifestyle and business events planned throughout 2027.
The ceremony was attended by Yang Mulia Pg Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pg Dato Paduka Haji Sani, Deputy Minister of Finance and Deputy Co-Chair of Visit Brunei Year 2027 Steering Committee, as well as members of the steering committee, ambassadors, high commissioners, strategic partners, tourism stakeholders and members of the media.

The pre-launch marks the beginning of a series of domestic and international promotional initiatives leading up to 2027. Brunei Darussalam will continue its marketing efforts at Travel Meet Asia 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia, from June 23 to 24, where the country has been appointed as the Official Destination Partner
