The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Brunei Darussalam hosted a reception to commemorate the Kingdom’s 96th National Day at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Tarindak D’Polo, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong recently.
The event was graced by Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, and his spouse, Datin Norazimah binti Haji Ramlee.
In attendance to greet them was the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Saleh Abdalkarim M. Al Shiha.

This year’s National Day theme, “Our Pride Is In Our Nature”, highlights Saudi Arabia’s heritage, culture and national values, alongside the Kingdom’s continued development and progress.
The theme was reflected throughout the reception, which brought together representatives from the Brunei government, diplomatic community and other invited guests.

During the event, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tashim was presented with a framed replica of the Al-Muwajaha Al-Sharifah Trophy, also known as the Wall Frame model, as a gesture of appreciation.
The reception also provided an opportunity for government representatives, members of the diplomatic community and invited guests to gather in recognition of Saudi Arabia’s national occasion and the close relations between Saudi Arabia and Brunei Darussalam.

Guests were treated to a buffet dinner, followed by an evening of conversations and social exchanges as they marked the occasion and the longstanding ties between the two countries.
