BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Inchcape on Wednesday announced the incorporation of Imperial Motors Sdn Bhd, a new joint venture in Brunei Darussalam.
In a statement, the company said the joint venture reflects its long-term commitment to the market and its strategy to build a diversified and scalable distribution network across the Asia Pacific.
Imperial Motors has been established to enhance Inchcape Brunei’s existing operations and enable future distribution opportunities in Brunei, further strengthening its presence and capabilities in the local automotive sector.
Imperial Motors joins Inchcape Brunei’s existing businesses, including NBT Brunei, Bravo Auto, and Inchcape Services. Together, these entities will provide a comprehensive and integrated automotive ecosystem in the market.
Phil Jenkins, CEO of Asia-Pacific at Inchcape, said the new joint venture strengthens the company’s long-term presence in Brunei.
“Imperial Motors represents an important step in strengthening our platform in Brunei. It reflects our strategy of building scalable, sustainable distribution businesses that create long-term value for partners and customers,” he said.
Hj Ahmad Hj Husin, president of Inchcape Brunei and director of Strategy & Market Growth for South Asia and the Pacific, said the move supports the group’s continued growth in the country.

He added that Imperial Motors will, in due course, enhance the distribution of automotive brands in Brunei as part of Inchcape’s wider Asia Pacific portfolio.
