Imperial Motors Sdn Bhd has been appointed as the sole authorised distributor of Subaru in Brunei, marking an expansion of the company’s automotive portfolio under global automotive distributor Inchcape.
Imperial Motors, the joint venture distribution company established by Inchcape in Brunei, will oversee the distribution of Subaru vehicles in the Sultanate, leveraging Inchcape’s established distribution capabilities, operational standards and customer-focused approach to strengthen the brand’s presence in the local market.
Imperial Motors is an affiliate company of NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd.
Phil Jenkins, APAC Chief Executive Officer at Inchcape, said the appointment reflects the company’s long-term strategy of building sustainable multi-brand platforms across the region.
“Inchcape’s approach is to build strong local platforms that support multiple brands sustainably over the long term. Imperial Motors gives us the right foundation to grow Subaru in Brunei, while continuing to develop a diversified and resilient portfolio,” he said.
