His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon received in audience Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
The Minister of Health of Indonesia was in Brunei Darussalam on a one-day working visit aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the health sector.
The visit focused on enhancing the quality of healthcare services, strengthening the capacity development of healthcare professionals, and promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices between Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia.

As part of the visit, Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on health cooperation, underscoring the commitment of both countries to deepen collaboration in the development and improvement of healthcare systems for their mutual benefit.
The Minister of Health of Indonesia also visited Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital during his visit to the Sultanate.

Accompanying the Minister of Health of Indonesia at the Audience Ceremony held at Istana Nurul Iman were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam Professor Dr Achmad Ubaedillah and Deputy Health Minister of the Republic of Indonesia Yuli Farianti.
Also present was Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar.
