The President of the Željezničar Mountaineering Society, Dalvin Kadirić, expressed his satisfaction with the successful organization of the jubilee edition of the race.
“We are especially happy to have marked the 10th anniversary of the Vučko Trail by introducing the new Yellow Course, which further enriched the programme and attracted a large number of participants. However, out of all the results and finishing times, the most important thing for us is that the race concluded without serious injuries and that all participants safely reached the finish line. I would like to thank the runners, volunteers, partners, and all members of the organizational team who were part of this great jubilee. We look forward to the continuation of this story and new editions of the Vučko Trail in the years to come,” Kadirić said.
Over the years, the Vučko Trail has outgrown the framework of a sports competition and become an event that uniquely connects sport, tourism, the promotion of natural beauty, and the cultural-historical heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The trails pass through some of the most beautiful parts of Bjelašnica and Visočica, connecting mountain peaks, ridges, valleys, stećci (medieval tombstones), and traditional villages, including Lukomir, the highest inhabited settlement in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is precisely this combination of a top sporting challenge and an authentic mountain atmosphere that keeps a large number of participants returning to Bjelašnica and Visočica year after year.
The realization of Vučko Trail 2026 was supported by partners and sponsors: Powerade, Uniqa Insurance, BH Telecom, ATN Global, Zira, Galeyo, Visit Sarajevo, and many others.
The Željezničar Mountaineering Society, the organizer of the Vučko Trail, is dedicated to promoting outdoor sporting activities and preserving the natural environment. Founded with the mission of popularizing hiking and outdoor sports in BiH, the society actively advocates for tourism development in mountain areas through the Vučko Trail, offering participants from all over the world a chance to discover the beauty of mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With each new edition, the Vučko Trail further strengthens its position as an unavoidable sports event in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
