Twelve Foreign Investors brought BH 530 Million BAM

The 12 most significant investors who invested 530 million BAM in Bosnia and Herzegovina and employed 2,561 workers received plaques today on Jahorina as part of the event “Selection of the Most Significant Foreign Investors in BiH for 2025”, organized by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) in BiH.

FIPA Director Marko Kubatlija said that this event is an opportunity to thank all companies that have recognized the potential of BiH and invested their capital, knowledge and trust in it.

He stated that the three countries that were awarded today – Austria, Serbia and Croatia – have the largest number of foreign direct investments in BiH, while the sectors that attract the most are telecommunications, banking and the green energy sector.

“Your presence and success show that BiH is not just a developing market, but a country of competitive resources, a skilled workforce and stable business partnerships. That is why today we have recognized those who are leaving their mark in BiH and setting standards for future investors,” said Kubatlija.

He emphasized that BiH has the potential to become a regional center of modern business, but that this potential can only be realized through joint work, by the public sector, the economy, international partners and investors.

Croatian Ambassador to BiH Ivan Sabolić said that he was pleased to attend the event that promotes foreign investment in BiH, and that Croatia is leading the way in investing.

“In addition to foreign investment, Croatia is BiH’s first foreign trade partner with four billion euros of trade. There is always room for improvement, and it is up to BiH to create a better investment climate,” said Sabolić.

Giuseppe Franchi from Italy, the recipient of the plaque and owner of the company “Bosnakar” in Prijedor and Bosanska Krupa, said that he has been in business for 21 years and that they have so far invested more than 50 million BAM in BiH and employ 190 workers.

Franki thanked for the recognition, which, he said, is well-deserved, because on 28,000 square meters of business space they produce quality parts recognized and accepted not only in Europe but throughout the world.

“We chose BiH because I believe in it. We are recognizable by the best salaries, we pay regular contributions. We produce bodies for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers. I am an entrepreneur and I offer ideas, a market and money and I want to hire workers from BiH, although Pakistanis and Indians are offered to me, and I do not want that,” Franki emphasized.

The award was also received by the company “Koncentriks BH” from Sarajevo, whose country of origin is the USA.

Director of “Koncentriks” for the Balkans, Austria and Hungary Oliver Derler said that BiH is a country with exceptional people and great potential.

Derler emphasized that this company operates in 70 countries in six sectors, providing services to more than 2,000 clients and employing around 440,000 people worldwide.

“We are a global leader in technology and services that supports some of the world’s most famous brands. We want to grow, develop and support the development of the future. We have big plans for BiH,” said Derler.

Plaques were also received by companies from Turkey, China, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, Montenegro and Italy.

Before the awarding of the posters for the most significant foreign investors, a panel “Free zones as a driver of export and investment potential of BiH” was held, at which the cities of Trebinje, Bijeljina and Gradiška were presented.
