The Government of Republika Srpska has paid two, and to some health centers all three tranches – for October, November and December 2025 – in the name of the debt that existed towards the health centers.
This was stated by the head of the Club of Deputies of the Serbian Democratic Party in the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska, Ognjen Bodiroga, who stated that he had been contacted by several directors of health centers.
“They thanked me for the fact that, at the last special session, I presented the problem concerning the debt of the Ministry of Finance to the vast majority of health centers in Republika Srpska. When the salary of health workers increased by 10% in April 2025, the Health Insurance Fund could not meet that increase, so the Ministry of Finance took on that role,” says Bodiroga and adds:
“However, the Ministry of Finance did not pay the health centers for the last three months of 2025 part of the finances that the Health Insurance Fund could not, so that burden fell on the health centers themselves, that is, local communities.”
Bodiroga welcomes the fact that the aforementioned money has been returned to the health centers, although some still lack one more tranche.
“I have no doubt that the Ministry of Finance will soon solve that,” Bodiroga points out.
