Trump’s Weird Oval Office ‘Super Glue’ Moment Detailed In New Book

President Donald Trump takes decorating very, very seriously.

Trump, who has remade both the interior and exterior of the White House with gaudy golden decor, even took matters literally into his own hands, according to a new book.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt one morning found Trump using super glue to personally attach golden embellishments to the Oval Office fireplace mantle, according to the forthcoming book “Regime Change” by New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan.

“As he was known to prefer his own aesthetic handiwork to anyone else’s, the sight of the president squeezing glue onto gilded appliqués and mounting them on the wall himself surprised no one in his inner circle,” the newspaper said in a report on the book, which comes out next week.

In addition to adding gold to the Oval Office, he’s added similar decor and embellishments elsewhere, including just outside the doors. He also paved over the Rose Garden and turned it into a “club” much like the one he has at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. And last year, he knocked down the entire East Wing to build a giant ballroom, which he has obsessed over publicly but is currently tangled up in legal action.
