Trump Has Curious Response To Reports On Donald Trump Jr. Taking Over ‘The Apprentice’

Donald Trump on Thursday addressed reports that his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., could host a reboot of his business reality television show, “The Apprentice.”

“Well, well, I’ve been hearing it,” the president acknowledged.

Trump touted the original series: “Look, we had a great success — 14 seasons — and ‘The Apprentice’ was a tremendous success.”

He then turned to the possibility of his son taking over:

“So, I’ve been hearing that, you know, a little bit, so we’ll see what happens. He’s a good guy. He’s probably good. He’s got a little charisma going. You need a little charisma for that sucker swing. So we’ll see what happens. Yeah, they told me about it. We’ll see.”

The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that Amazon is considering Trump Jr., who appeared on the original series, as a potential host, though it remains unclear how much the president’s son knows about the plans, which are said to be in the embryonic stage.
