PRESIDENT ERIC?: Trump Scion Weighs In On Possible Presidential Run

Eric Trump is leaving the door open to a possible presidential run.

President Donald Trump’s son told Nikkei Asia this weekend, when asked if he’d consider a campaign for the White House, that he would “never rule it out.”

“I’m not saying no, but I’m also not saying yes,” he said during an interview in Hong Kong, where he was promoting cryptocurrency company World Liberty Financial, in which the Trump family controversially holds a majority stake, at the Bitcoin Asia conference.

In July, Eric Trump told The Financial Times a family political dynasty would be “an easy one,” but asked if it would be worth it.

“Would I want my kids to live the same experience over the last decade that I’ve lived? You know, if the answer was yes, I think the political path would be an easy one, meaning, I think I could do it,” he said. “And by the way, I think other members of our family could do it too.”

Eric Trump’s siblings, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, have previously been touted as potential future Republican presidential candidates.

But they may all have to wait if their father follows through on his hints about running for an unconstitutional third term. Or if, as critics fear, he attempts to bypass the 2028 election altogether to extend his stay in the White House.
