MS NOW Host Calls Out ‘Ridiculous’ Claims About Video Of Fatal ICE Shooting

MS NOW host Jen Psaki on Friday called out President Donald Trump and his administration over the “disgusting and ridiculous” claim that Renee Nicole Good, who was killed by an immigration agent in Minnesota earlier this week, was a “domestic terrorist.”

Psaki showed footage of the incident allegedly captured by the shooter himself, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent Jonathan Ross, on his phone. She said “the right” has seized on this video to claim it “somehow vindicates” Ross.

“They claim that because the shooter appears to fumble his camera, and because you can hear a loud noise, that this video must be evidence that Renee Good ran over or hit the agent with her car,” said Psaki. “That is what they have been blasting everywhere.”

She continued, “But if you look at all of the evidence we have seen so far, that does not appear to be the case. Because so many people were filming this incident when it happened, we have a lot of footage that captured the scene from very different angles.”

In the video, Ross approaches Good’s vehicle, which was partially blocking a road. Good tells him, “That’s fine, dude, I’m not mad at you.” As Good’s wife, who is out of the car, confronts him, he circles the vehicle and eventually stands in front of it.

Good can be seen turning the wheel to the right before pulling forward slightly, apparently attempting to leave. As the car pulls forward, the agent drops the camera and a voice is heard saying “whoa!” before multiple shots are fired.

“Fucking bitch,” someone is heard saying after Good was fatally shot.

Psaki noted that the sizable ICE presence at the scene was due to one of their vehicles getting stuck in the snow, prompting numerous locals to blow their whistles to notify residents of their presence — and start filming.

“They are claiming that that video vindicates the agent for firing those shots, but if you sync up that video with the other angle of that same moment, you can see that the car does not appear to run the agent over. In fact, the agent’s feet are positioned away from the car,” Psaki said. “And as I mentioned, the car is already headed in the opposite direction.”

The MS NOW host also noted that “it’s hard to say what we’re actually hearing” in the moments where Ross fumbled his camera, admitting she’s not a crime scene expert, but also argued that federal agents wouldn’t use their phones while “facing a life-threatening situation.”

Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told The Washington Post that Trump’s White House has given the communications sector of ICE “autonomy to create content that is effectively reaching the American public.”

Ross himself walked away from the scene after killing Good.

“Renee Nicole Good told those officers, ‘I’m not mad at you,’” Psaki said Friday “That’s the woman the Trump administration called a domestic terrorist. That’s the woman whose killing Vice President JD Vance called ‘a tragedy of her own making.’”

She continued, “And all this new video does is make clear that those claims are just as disgusting and ridiculous as they were before we saw this new video. She said, ‘I’m not mad at you.’ And 25 seconds after she uttered those words, she was shot.”
