Donald Trump has added a cluster of petty swipes to his already-partisan “Presidential Walk of Fame.”
Plaques have been installed under the row of gold-colored framed portraits that depict (most of) Trump’s presidential predecessors. The “Walk of Fame” was installed along the West Wing colonnade outside the Oval Office earlier this year.
The display doesn’t include a portrait of former President Joe Biden. Instead, it features the image of an “autopen” device writing Biden’s signature, a reference to one of Trump’s frequent attacks against his predecessor. (Note: Trump, like other presidents, has used such devices to replicate their signature.)
The new plaques hurl additional insults at Biden and recent Democratic presidents.
Biden’s plaque refers to “Sleepy Joe” as “by far, the worst” president, while the one under former President Barack Obama’s portrait labels him “one of the most divisive political figures” in U.S. history.
Former President Bill Clinton’s plaque notes that his wife, Hillary Clinton, lost to Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
One social media user on Bluesky joked that they’ll need a “good dentist to remove all this plaque,” while another reminded folks that “we’re paying for this shit.”
