Bill Gates Speaks Out On Latest Epstein Files Allegations

Bill Gates addressed the allegations made about him in the latest batch of files the Department of Justice released on Jeffrey Epstein, saying he is “one of many people who regret ever knowing” the late sex predator.

The materials uploaded to the DOJ’s website last week include draft emails written by Epstein in 2013 to himself, including one in which he claimed to have helped Bill Gates get medication to treat a sexually transmitted infection he got from having “sex with Russian girls.” The disgraced financier also alleged he facilitated the Microsoft co-founder’s “illicit trysts with married women.”

In a separate email, Epstein claimed Gates tried to secretly give his then-wife, Melinda French Gates, antibiotics for an STI.

“TO add insult to the injury you then subsequently with tears in your eyes, implore me to please delete the emails regarding your std, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda, and the description of your penis,” the email reads.

In an interview with Australia’s Nine News released Wednesday, Gates denied the allegations.

“Apparently Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent. The email is false, so I don’t know what his thinking was there,” Gates said.

It’s unclear which of the emails Gates was referring to.

“Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologize that I did that,” Gates added.

Gates’ association with Epstein has been well-documented. Gates said the two men met in 2011, years after Epstein served time in jail after pleading guilty to soliciting prostitution for a minor.

“The focus was always, he knew a lot of very rich people, and he was saying he could get them to give money to global health. You know, in retrospect, that was a dead end, and I was foolish to spend time with him,” Gates said. “I was one of many people who regret ever knowing him.”

Gates has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.

The tech founder’s interview comes after French Gates said her ex-husband still has questions to answer about his ties to Epstein.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, seen speaking during the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos this January, said of Jeffrey Epstein in a new interview: “Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologize that I did that.”

“It’s beyond heartbreaking, right? I remember being those ages those girls were. I remember my daughters being those ages,” French Gates told NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast. “So for me, it’s personally hard whenever those details come up, right, because [it] brings back memories of some very, very painful times in my marriage.”

“Whatever questions remain there of what I don’t — can’t even begin to know all of it — those questions are for those people and for even my ex-husband,” she continued.
