1 Word From Karoline Leavitt Just Set Off Major Alarm Bells

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt raised eyebrows and sparked concerns on Tuesday with her use of a single word while responding to questions about President Donald Trump’s call for Republicans to nationalize voting.

Leavitt was asked by a reporter to clarify whether Trump believes elections should remain under state control.

“The president believes in the United States Constitution,” Leavitt replied.

Then she added: “However, he believes there has obviously been a lot of fraud and irregularities that have taken place in American elections, and again, voter ID is a highly popular and common-sense policy that the president wants to pursue, and he wants to pass legislation to make that happen for all states across the country.”

The use of the word “however,” immediately following her statement that Trump believes in the Constitution, sparked concern on social media.
