Four teens remanded on multiple serious charges

Four teenagers have been remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds) after appearing in court on a series of serious criminal charges.

Rashad Tareq Deshong, 16, of Buccaneer Terrace, Orange Hill, St James; Jamali Jashani Scott, 17, of Jackmans Alley, Orange Hill, St James; Tyrese Jermaine Callender, 17, of no fixed place of abode; and Anjon Kesean Price, 17, of St Ann’s Road, Pineland, St Michael, appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 2 on Monday, April 27.

They were not required to plead to the indictable offences.

The charges span incidents in both District ‘A’ and Black Rock.

Deshong and Scott jointly face charges including use of a firearm, serious bodily harm and two counts of assault with intent to rob, all relating to April 2. Callender and Price are jointly charged with aggravated burglary in connection with a February 17 incident.

In addition, Callender, Scott and Deshong are jointly charged with wounding with intent for an incident on April 7, while Callender also faces a separate charge of use of a firearm on the same date.

All four accused were remanded to Dodds and are scheduled to reappear in court on May 22, 2026.
