Kimi Antonelli leads, but his advantage is less than one second over Lando Norris.
Norris is driving a great race.
Antonelli has complained to his Mercedes team that his rear tyres are struggling. The teenager is reassured that the issue is just the temperature and that there is plenty of life left in them.

33/57: Antonelli and Norris battle for win, Piastri battle for third
Mercedes teen Kimi Antonelli leads.
He has a gap of 1.5 seconds to McLaren world champion Lando Norris.
However, Antonelli says he is having gearbox issues.
Max Verstappen is third, but he has much older tyres than the three drivers behind him: Charles Leclerc, George Russell and Oscar Piastri.
Piastri is closing the gap to Russell, quickly.

Oscar Piastri is in seventh.
But he is in a fight for the podium with Charles Leclerc and George Russell, who are currently fifth and sixth.
Piastri is about six seconds behind those two, but he has fresher tyres and he is showing it with a fast lap.

Lando Norris has responded to Kimi Antonelli at the end of lap 26.
It is a nice stop from McLaren. Norris comes out ahead of Antonelli, but the Mercedes teen has warmer tyres and he is able to catch Norris pass.

Kimi Antonelli has pitted from second place.
Lando Norris leads Oscar Piastri. Neither McLaren driver has pitted.
Max Verstappen has passed Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen has pitted, but Hamilton has not. Hamilton has damage.

We have reports of rain droplets.
This could get fun.
Lando Norris still leads the grand prix, but Kimi Antonelli has narrowed the gap to two seconds.

21/57: Charles Leclerc pits from third, Russell passes on exit
Ferrari pits Charles Leclerc.
It was a slow stop, as the right front tyre took a while to come off.
That slow stop allowed George Russell, who pitted one lap earlier, to overtake the Ferrari driver.

20/57: Norris has a three-second lead
Lando Norris is driving a terrific race.
At the start of lap 20, he held a lead of three seconds over Mercedes teen Kimi Antonelli.
The Italian teen is able to lower the gap down to about 2.5 seconds on the back straight, then Norris extends that gap again.
It depends on who is using their electrical power.

17/57: Verstappen making his way through midfield, under investigation
Max Verstappen is up to ninth place after pitting during the safety car.
However, there could be issues for the Dutchman. He has been noted for crossing the white line on the pit exit.
That usually means a penalty is coming.
