‘Lace Doctor’ Fined $20,000 for Grievous Harm at Sunrise Fete

A three-year-old assault case stemming from a confrontation at the Sunrise Breakfast Fete in Willikies has ended with a guilty plea and a hefty fine.

Annalee Jeffrey, known as “Lace Doctor,” pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm when she appeared before Justice Stanley John in the High Court on October 16, 2025.

She was ordered to pay her victim $20,000 in four monthly installments of $5,000 starting October 31, with full payment due by January 31, 2026. Failure to pay will result in one year in prison.

Jeffrey, a 29-year-old Jamaican national at the time of the 2022 incident, was also placed under a two-year bond. Breaching it could add another year behind bars.

Prosecutors said Jeffrey attacked a woman she suspected of being involved with her husband, pulling her hair as the victim worked beside him at a food booth. The struggle caused a pot of boiling goat water to spill, burning both women.
