Antigua and Barbuda Ranked 54th Globally in 2026 Nations Reputation Index

Antigua and Barbuda has earned recognition for its strong global image, ranking 54th out of 197 countries in the CEOWORLD Magazine Global Nations Reputation Index 2026, released on October 26.

The prestigious annual index evaluates the world’s leading economies using a comprehensive 50-attribute model that measures perception and performance across ten dimensions — including ethics and integrity, governance, innovation, quality of life, sustainability, and social cohesion. Antigua and Barbuda achieved a reputation score of 76.65, placing it ahead of many larger and more developed nations.

In the Caribbean region, Antigua and Barbuda ranked higher than Saint Kitts and Nevis (55th), Trinidad and Tobago (62nd), and Saint Lucia (70th), reflecting growing international respect for its governance, stability, and cultural identity. The report emphasizes that national reputation has become a key determinant of a country’s competitiveness — influencing foreign investment, tourism, trade, and diplomatic relationships.

According to CEOWORLD, reputation now functions as “a measurable, strategic determinant of competitiveness, influence, and prosperity.” The ranking model captures global perceptions of trust, leadership, innovation, and sustainability, effectively serving as a “trust index” for nations.

At the top of the 2026 index is Singapore, recognized for its consistency in governance, innovation, and environmental stewardship. European nations continue to dominate the upper tier, with Switzerland, Ireland, and the Nordic states all ranking within the top ten for their integrity, equality, and high quality of governance.

The report highlights that countries with strong reputational scores tend to enjoy higher foreign investment inflows, currency stability, and greater diplomatic influence — benefits that translate directly into economic growth and global engagement.

Antigua and Barbuda’s ranking underscores its continued progress in strengthening its international profile through good governance, sustainable development, and social cohesion. The result reinforces the twin-island nation’s growing influence within the Caribbean and its commitment to maintaining a trustworthy and respected image on the world stage.
