Winning pitcher Gabby Gomez helped her own cause with a two-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning to give Pingry a 3-1 victory over Cranford in Martinsville.
Gomez went the distance in the circle, striking out eight while allowing one run, six hits and five walks.
Pingry trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth until Melia Ahn tied the game with a solo home run. Sofia Phillipou followed with a single and Clair Sartorius added a ground rule double, setting the stage for Gomez.
Kasey Coon went 1-for-3 with a walk and a first inning run scored for Cranford (11-14) and Brooke Jones went 2-for-3.
