INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Cooler than average air remains for central Indiana. The Indy 500 will feature mostly cloudy skies with a smaller rain chance.
TODAY: Mostly sunny skies become partly cloudy as the day goes on. For those going to the Indy 500 parade, it should be fantastic with winds under 10 mph. High temperatures in the low 70s.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies remain in place. Low temperatures in the low 50s.
TOMORROW: It will be a cooler start to race day with everyone waking up in the 50s. Mostly cloudy skies are anticipated for the Indy 500 with a small rain chance.
Central Indiana will have drier air at the surface, which likely eats away at most sprinkles that try to form. The better chance of a few light showers will be in south central and southern Indiana. Winds are not expected to be breezy out of the northeast. High temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.
Dry conditions will persist through the Pacers game Sunday night! Temperatures going into Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 3 will be in the mid-60s.
7-DAY FORECAST: Temperatures slowly get back into the 70s next week. Memorial Day will be similar to Sunday. The most likely day of rainfall accumulation across central Indiana will be with scattered showers on Tuesday. Isolated/small rain chances linger for the end of the week.
