Man rescued from Mahakali River in Darchula

Kathmandu, July 17

A man stranded on a rock in the middle of the Mahakali River in Darchula has been safely rescued by the Armed Police Force (APF) of Nepal.

According to authorities, 35-year-old Bikram KC, a resident of Samserganj Amelia in Banke district, was found stuck on a rock in the middle of the river near Khalanga, Mahakali Municipality-4.

Upon receiving the report, a disaster response team from APF Nepal No. 44 Battalion in Darchula, led by Superintendent of Armed Police Devraj Joshi, was swiftly deployed. The team successfully carried out the rescue operation without any injuries.

The APF stated that the rescued individual appeared to be mentally unstable at the time of the incident.
