Justice Nandikonda Narsing Rao of Telangana High Court vacation bench directed the police authorities to convene the proposed Global Peace Festival meeting by Gospel (unreached Millions Society) at Gymkhana ground from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Allowing a writ petition filed by K.A. Paul representing Gospel, the judge set aside an order issued by Hyderabad police rejecting permission to the meeting. The judge, however, imposed conditions for conducting the meeting.

The judge made it clear that none of the meeting participants or organisers should give any slogans or indulge in actions ‘against the interest and integrity of the country’. The organisers should give an undertaking to the Deputy Commissioner of Police of North zone that they would be responsible if any untoward incident takes place at the meeting.

No person on or off the dais should not give any speech except conducting prayers. Not more than 1,000 people should be allowed to attend the meeting.
