Migros recalls Alnatura salad seed mix over salmonella risk

Alnatura, a German food producer that supplies Migros, has recalled two products as a precaution after salmonella was found in a sample of pine nuts.

The two products are Pine nuts, 60g: best-before dates from 31 May to 2 July 2027, and Salad seed mix, 100g: best-before dates from 3 June to 13 July 2027.

Both products have been withdrawn from sale. In Switzerland, Migros is recalling the organic salad seed mix in co-operation with the relevant cantonal authority.

Customers should not eat the affected products. They can return the packs for a replacement. Best-before dates are printed on the side or bottom of the packaging. Other products and best-before dates are unaffected.

Salmonella can cause gastrointestinal illness.

Alnatura announced the recall on 5 November. The Swiss recall notice followed on 6 November.
