NEW YORK — “Formidable! Aznavour,” a live musical tribute to the legendary French-Armenian singer and songwriter Charles Aznavour, will be making its debut in the U.S., following smashing success in France and abroad. The live band show features Aznavour’s famous songs — “La Bohème,” “Formidable!,” “She,” “Yesterday When I Was Young” and more — four of the 800 written and performed by Aznavour, and covered by world-renowned singers, including Frank Sinatra.
“Formidable! Aznavour” was created and produced by the creators of the musical sensation “Piaf! The Show,” Directo Productions, and presented by Cherry Orchard Festival. On its first U.S. tour, “Formidable! Aznavour” will stop in Seattle, Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, Boston and have two performances in New York, at Brooklyn’s Oceana Theater and Town Hall in New York City.
