He is being treated in Vydehi Superspecility Hospital and doctors said his condition is stable. He will be under observation for a day or two before getting discharged.

Doctors said he walked into the hospital without the need of a wheelchair. ”When he came here, he had an increased heartbeat. But he is doing fine now and his other parameters are normal. He is under observation and will be discharged soon,” V.K. Srinivas, interventional cardiologist at the hospital, told presspersons.

Later, Mr. Parameshwara posted on X that he experienced a slight increase in his heart rate during the inaugural ceremony of the badminton tournament in Bengaluru. “As a precaution, I immediately went to the hospital and received the necessary medical care,” he said in the tweet. He requested the public not to come to the hospital to meet him to avoid inconvenience to other patients.
