A journalist has been arrested following allegations of repeated sexual abuse and sexual assault of his teenage daughter.

Police in Prasat Bakong district, Siem Reap province, said they received a complaint on Monday from the victim’s mother accusing her husband, Prak Kimleng, 59, of the Khmer Power Press Office in Kok Thlak village, Kandek commune, of sexually abusing their 15-year-old daughter.

According to police, officers interviewed the victim after receiving the complaint.

The girl alleged that her father had sexually assaulted her on seven occasions, with the most recent incident taking place at the family home on August 19.

Police said the suspect is being questioned as part of the investigation.
