Uzbekistan and OSCE Parliamentary Assembly discuss cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM – Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan’s Parliament Nuriddin Ismoilov met with a delegation led by President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Pere Joan Pons Sampietro, UzA reported.

The parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, as well as issues related to protecting human rights, ensuring decent working conditions and regulating labor migration.

Pere Joan Pons Sampietro noted the reforms in Uzbekistan and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s efforts to strengthen mutual trust and good-neighborly relations in Central Asia, as well as to develop trade, economic, and transport links between the countries of the region.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between the Parliament of Uzbekistan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
