Bowling Green — Jane Johns Jones of Alvaton, passed away at her home on October 20, 2026. Jane was a lifetime resident of the Boyce Community.
She was born and raised in a house on Ben T. Johns Road, which is named after her grandfather. Her great grandchildren are the 6th generation of her family to live on the Johns property. She was the sunshine of every room she entered and she never met a stranger.
She was beloved by all who met her and she will be missed. Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Jessie Doriot Johns and her husband of 59 years Elbert Ray Jones. She is survived by two sons, Elbert Ray Jr. “Bud” and Barry Dean Jones and their wives Laura and Cindy. Four grandchildren Jonathan Jones and his wife Ashley, Brie Golliher and her husband Brad.
Sara Jones and Jamie Austin and her husband Tyler. Five great grandchildren Brady and Bryce Golliher, Henley and Saylor Jones, Jackson Austin and she was eagerly waiting for the arrival of a new great granddaughter in November.
She had many nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.
The family will accept visitors on Saturday, October 24th from 4-8PM and on Sunday, October 25th from 11AM-2PM. Service will begin at 2PM, all at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will follow in the Martha’s Chapel cemetery. Funeral arrangements by JC Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
