Ten amendments on the ballot? Really?
Louisiana’s 1974 constitution has already been amended more than 200 times. In my opinion, this method of legislation is inefficient and is totally inadequate for our constitutional republic form of government.
The wording in these amendments is more times than not ambiguous, and frankly most voters don’t have the time to properly investigate the true meaning of each one.
Many of these amendments are so politically or financially convoluted that even an expert would be hard-pressed to explain the pros and cons.
We need another constitutional convention to address this serious problem, ASAP.
