Pechan Finishes 32nd at World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals

Vanuatu rower Ben Pechan has demonstrated determination and resilience at the World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals in Qingdao, China, finishing 32nd in the Men’s Solo event.

Despite strong winds and challenging waves that made the race more difficult, Pechan showed impressive speed and power on the beach as he pushed to secure a place among the top 16 competitors.

His energy and determination brought him close to the next round, but a wave caused his boat to capsize, ending his chances of progressing further in the competition.

Although he did not reach the final 16, Vanuatu Rowing has expressed pride in Pechan’s performance and his representation of Vanuatu on the international stage.
