Today, on National Heroes’ Day, Grenada marks 43 years since the assassination of Revolutionary and former Prime Minister of Grenada, Maurice Rupert Bishop (29 May 1944 – 19 October 1983), Fitzroy Bain, Norris Bain, Jacqueline Creft, Vincent Noel, Unison Whiteman, and others, by soldiers loyal to his deputy, Bernard Coard.
My Mother, Mary (2022) is a documentary film that captures a story of Liberty, Revolution, and Migration through the eyes of Grenadians near and far.
“Dedicated to all who lost their lives on 19 October 1983 and during the US invasion of Grenada, as well as those who are figuring out how to recover from those dark days.”
